#470: I look up at the index of my life . . .

You would think I might be running out of steam, but after posting today’s poem I looked in at the NaPoWriMo website, out of curiosity, to see the prompt for today, and I could not help myself. The prompt was to write a poem inspired by, modeled after, or found in an index. I thought to myself, I must write an index sonnet. And lo, it appears.

Index Sonnet on Day 28

I look up at the index of my life
And find human being: forgetfulness
Of, the openness to, and the
Phenomena of, and nothingness; time
In itself, for itself, in the situation,
In the world, for others, unto death
With. In the index of the self I find
The authentic and the inauthentic,
Becoming one, consummate formation
Of one, the freedom of, the intrinsic
Value of, the responsibility to and of,
In society and in its own society.
In the index of soul I find this list;
Under construction, dear existentialist.
