#509: I am hunted by the notebook… (turn haunted into hunted)

I am hunted by the notebook
I lost after sitting at my mother’s
deathbed nearly seven years ago now;
while I watched and I waited, I wrote
about the experience of being
with her while she was dying. She was
not aware I was even there. For some
reason, days or weeks later, that book
where I had written all those private things
ended up in my work office at school
where I think it was stolen by a kid
who was angry at his English teacher.
The notebook hunts me, and the mystery
of it’s loss, the possible culprit, free.
