This is just to say
I came home from work today
and had nowhere else to go.
No rehearsal, no show.
I moved straight into relaxation,
writing a poem my only obligation
and even that, I put off until now;
just goes to show you how:
having time now for almost anything I’d like to do,
I choose instead next to nothing, and wouldn’t you?
